We have an urgent need for a Design Verification Test Engineer supporting a highly innovative space technology program with one of our premier enterprise clients. The work focuses on next-generation satellite hardware, specifically PCB design verification and testing in a hands-on laboratory environment.

This is a fully on-site opportunity in Northridge, CA.- Please start your search locally; if candidate's are open to relocation, please triple confirm and go over contact logistics.

We're specifically looking for candidates with backgrounds in:

Aerospace and/or Semiconductor industries

Satellite, space systems, or high-reliability electronic hardware

PCB design verification, validation, and hardware testing

Ideal experience includes:

5 7+ years of Design Verification/Test Engineering experience

Hands-on laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, function generators, logic analyzers, and related equipment

PCB bring-up, board-level debugging, and electrical measurements

Clock, timing, interface, and protocol validation

Reading schematics and PCB layouts

Hardware debugging, root cause analysis, and technical reporting

Test plan execution, verification, and documentation (Jira/Confluence experience is a plus)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Candidates with stable employment history and experience supporting hardware development for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or space programs will be highly preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Design Verification Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of electronic hardware designs through hands-on laboratory testing and measurement. This role is highly lab-focused and involves executing test plans, performing detailed measurements, and verifying hardware performance against design requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, extensive test and measurement experience, and the ability to work independently in a professional lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

Execute design verification test plans and validate hardware performance against specifications

Perform detailed electrical measurements, including clock and protocol measurements

Bring up and verify new circuit boards and assemblies

Measure and validate critical interfaces and subsystems

Conduct verification testing on hardware under development, including portions of boards currently in design

Use laboratory equipment such as power supplies, function generators, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and specialized probes

Debug hardware issues, identify root causes, and document findings with clear technical analysis

Record, track, and report test results and issues using tools such as Confluence and Jira

Work full-time in the lab environment, taking measurements and producing thorough test reports

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

5-7 years of experience

Strong engineering background with hands-on test and measurement experience

Demonstrated experience in design verification testing

Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts

Experience measuring and validating electrical interfaces

Proficiency working in a professional laboratory setting

Experience with test execution, including test case generation, execution, and reporting

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Design experience supporting or collaborating with hardware design teams

Experience with clocking, timing, and protocol-level measurements

Familiarity with verification methodologies and standards relevant to the space or aerospace industry

Multiple years of experience focused on test measurement and verification (as opposed to purely design roles)

Stable work history demonstrating long-term engagement in prior roles

Work Environment

Primarily lab-based role with daily hands-on testing and measurements

Close collaboration with hardware design and engineering teams
