Onsite San Jose - 5 days a week

Description
GNSS SoC location group is looking for a GNSS Test engineer [on a contract basis] to work under the supervision of the Test manager with ability to work with cross-functional teams for supporting various test requests in parallel. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various SW and HW verification testing in the laboratory. We are looking for someone with good experience in testing mobile device prototypes.

Requirements:
Support new HW bring-ups and perform SW and HW validation tests.
Perform GNSS performance tests involving Lab KPI such as TTF, Positioning stats, sensitivity and support special systems R&D based requests working with others in the team.
Analyze test results, identify root causes, and report issues to engineering teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams including modem, GNSS software teams to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain Python automation scripts for test execution, log collection, data analysis and contribute to development of test automation frameworks and regression test environments.
Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure of deadlines and easily adapt within a fast-paced environment.
Follow all the company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and good quality.

Qualifications and Preferred skills:
BS/MS in Telecommunications, Electrical engineering or related fields
2+ years of laboratory experience in mobile devices testing with basic knowledge of LTE,5G NR,NSA/SA technologies
Ability to execute tests with setups based on Keysight, Spirent, or Rohde & Schwarz test platforms
Hands-on experience with device log analysis, post-processing and test equipment network side debugging.
Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, NI power instruments, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Willing to meet on-call support requests and support tasks later in the evening, as needed
Ability to communicate effectively with hands-on experience using defect tracking tools e.g. JIRA.
