Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware (PCs, printers, peripherals) and software (OS, apps) problems via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
• Installation & Configuration: Set up new computers, install software, configure settings, and connect peripherals.
• User Support: Guide users through technical issues, provide step-by-step instructions, and offer basic training.
• Maintenance: Perform system updates, manage patches, and conduct preventative checks.
• Documentation: Log tickets, update records, and create technical reports or manuals.
• Escalation: Refer complex issues to higher-level IT teams when needed.
• Inventory: Manage IT asset inventory and equipment orders.

Essential Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software.
• Familiarity with networking basics and security principles.
