Role Overview
eNGINE is seeking a Guardicore Network Engineer to support a large-scale network segmentation initiative within a financial services environment.
This consultant will join the Networking team and work closely with Information Security to expand and operationalize Guardicore across an enterprise server environment supporting hundreds of applications. The organization currently has approximately 400 application servers, with Guardicore deployed at the server level rather than on employee desktops.
The project is moving through two consecutive operational phases, making this an opportunity for an engineer who can contribute hands-on Guardicore expertise while collaborating across networking, infrastructure, and security teams.
What You'll Do
- Support the implementation and ongoing operational use of Guardicore throughout the enterprise server environment.
- Develop and maintain network segmentation policies based on application communication requirements and security objectives.
- Analyze server-to-server traffic and application dependencies to identify appropriate segmentation controls.
- Investigate and resolve connectivity issues related to Guardicore policies and segmented environments.
- Partner closely with Information Security to implement segmentation requirements within the network environment.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to understand traffic patterns, dependencies, and potential impacts of segmentation changes.
- Assist with the execution of upcoming Guardicore deployment and operational phases.
- Help establish repeatable processes for maintaining and troubleshooting the Guardicore environment.
- Document configurations, policies, dependencies, and operational procedures as the environment evolves.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on Guardicore experience in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience with network segmentation and microsegmentation concepts.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, traffic flows, routing, access controls, and application connectivity.
- Experience troubleshooting network and security issues within complex server environments.
- Ability to work effectively between Network Engineering, Information Security, Infrastructure, and application teams.
- Experience operating in environments where security and infrastructure changes require coordination and structured implementation.
Preferred Experience
- Financial services or banking experience.
- Cisco data center switching experience.
- Exposure to Forcepoint or comparable network security technologies.
- Experience supporting segmentation across large server populations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and enterprise application environments.
- Experience taking a security technology from deployment through ongoing operational support.
