Sales-New Business Development Representative
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, competitive, and results-oriented New Business Development Representative to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is responsible for generating new client partnerships, expanding our footprint, and driving revenue growth.
This is a true hunter role — focused on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing new accounts quickly. The ideal candidate must have staffing industry experience, an existing network, and the ability to bring in business immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new client partnerships within the Columbus market
- Leverage an existing book of business and professional network to generate immediate revenue
- Attend weekly networking events and actively represent the company in the local business community
- Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans including cold calling, email outreach, and in-person meetings
- Conduct client needs assessments and position staffing solutions effectively
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements
- Partner closely with recruiting teams to ensure successful delivery
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity in CRM
- Meet or exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Required Qualifications
- Must be local to Columbus, Ohio
- 5+ years of business development experience within a staffing agency
- Proven track record of bringing in new business and hitting revenue goals
- Existing book of business and strong professional network
- Experience working within the staffing industry (ideally coming from a competitor environment)
- Strong understanding of contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire models
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and hearing “no” without losing momentum
