Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring SMTS Systems Design Engineer to Drive technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives. Debug issues found during the process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs. Work with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time.Work closely with supporting technical teams. Engage in other software/hardware modeling frameworks. Lead collaborative approach with multiple teams.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires four (4) years of experience in the following:

  • Programming/scripting skills including C/C++, Perl, Ruby, and Python;
  • Debugging techniques and methodologies;
  • Common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes;
  • Board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization; and
  • System architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy.
