IT Support Technician will provide on-site technical support for multiple agencies located throughout downtown Frankfort. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and delivers exceptional service to a diverse group of end users. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of hardware and software systems.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting agency staff with technical issues
- Configure, install, and maintain computer equipment including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Utilize ticketing software (preferably ServiceNow) to track, manage, and resolve support requests
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
- Work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and routine maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with agency staff and IT team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Hands-on experience with computer setup, configuration, and installation
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, ideally ServiceNow
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in high-pressure situations
- Solid understanding of common hardware components, operating systems, and software applications
Preferred Attributes- Self-motivated and able to work independently across multiple agency locations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
