MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Sr. Facilities Technology Engineer located in Madison, WI. Our client is a government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.
Note: Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Hybrid Schedule with WFH and on-location at prisons as needed.
Additional Comments: Travel on the team is mostly in-state, day trips. The clinet provides vehicles out of their fleet pool for qualified drivers. There have been some occurrences of overnight travel, but it is very infrequent and planned out well in advance.

- Cisco Networking Knowledge (Routers & Switches) - 3 years' experience

Additional details:
- On call rate of $2.25 an hour (On call once every 8 weeks. $2.25 per hour to carry the phone, and when a call comes in that requires work, normal rate applies.)

- IT Professional that works on a team responsible for facilities-based systems, including but not limited to, surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication. This work includes all aspects of design, planning, installation, and support of the aforementioned systems, including supporting desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment. Install, configure, maintain, and monitor multiple state-wide networks, we filtering with Palo Altos and Zscaler, as well as mitigating issues as they arise. Responsible for extensive system documentation creation and updates. Work is performed at the agency's nearly 200 locations, state-wide, including the agency's many secure sites, often independently. Delegation and improvisational skills, creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills required. Day travel also required, and long days are common.
