Senior Java Software Engineer Corporate Payments , AWS/Azure and AI-native development with Claude/Cursor - Dallas TX - Onsite role - In Person Interview
We re looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Corporate Payments Engineering team and help build the next generation of payment products on a proprietary authorization gateway platform orchestrating billions of payments globally.
What You ll Do
Design, develop, and deliver scalable Java applications, APIs, and microservices.
Help shape architecture and technology roadmaps for core Corporate Payments services.
Build and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS and/or Azure.
Develop secure, reliable, and highly scalable payment services.
Implement unit, component, and integration testing using modern engineering practices.
Collaborate across engineering teams to build reusable services and components.
Leverage AI-native engineering tools such as Claude and Cursor to accelerate development.
Drive engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
4+ years of software engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java
Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems
Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern development practices
Understanding of cloud security and compliance
Experience with Claude, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, distributed environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Corporate Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services
Experience with credit cards, payment processing, AR/AP, or related financial applications
Experience with spec-driven development
Experience working with geographically distributed teams
