Remote Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote with meetings on PST

Employment Type: 6 month+ Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to perform initial technical assessments and triage for non-production environments. This role is central to identifying root causes, coordinating with the correct teams, and ensuring a swift path to resolution for technical issues. The position involves guiding investigations, tracking issues to closure, and communicating status to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial technical assessments by reviewing logs, configurations, pipelines, and network paths.
  • Identify the appropriate owning teams and determine the fastest next steps for issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to unblock common non-production issues and ensure clear handoffs.
  • Provide technical leadership by guiding investigation approaches and validating hypotheses.
  • Track each triaged issue to ensure it has an owner, a next action, and a due date until resolved.
  • Communicate concise status updates to stakeholders regarding issue status, next steps, and ownership.
  • Document outcomes and learned patterns to contribute to continuous improvement efforts such as runbooks and monitoring enhancements.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience in a role requiring technical issue triage, cross-team coordination, and technical leadership. Must be capable of managing multiple issues, tracking them to closure, and communicating status effectively.

Technical Skills: Expertise in performing technical assessments, including the review of logs, configurations, pipelines, and network paths within an Azure environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $70.00 to $80.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
