What You'll Be Doing

As a Data Center Technician, you'll be part of a skilled team responsible for upgrading, installing, and supporting RNG devices inside customer data centers. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware in live data center environments
• Verifying network connectivity by checking ports and validating Layer 1 connections with network engineers (switches, routers, cabling)
• Performing break-fix repairs on servers, networking equipment, hard drives, GPUs, and related infrastructure
• Preparing, staging, setting up, and executing equipment startups and shutdowns (racks, servers, switches, drives) using documented procedures and checklists
• Conducting post-deployment quality checks to ensure proper grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling aligned with safety and deployment standards
• Diagnosing issues quickly, identifying root causes, and replacing faulty components with precision
• Decommissioning hardware during tech refresh cycles (memory upgrades, OS rebuilds, equipment retirement)
• Performing daily safety checks and equipment inspections to meet strict client and site standards
• Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams, providing daily project and status updates
• Escalating incidents and issues to Datacenter Technician Leads following established procedures

• Rack & stack, structured cabling (fiber and copper)
• Hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Network operations and physical layer connectivity
• Deployment and decommissioning of enterprise hardware

Shift Options

Choose a schedule that fits your lifestyle:

• A-Side: Sunday-Tuesday + every other Wednesday
• B-Side: Thursday-Saturday + every other Wednesday
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Type & Location

• Work onsite at state-of-the-art client data centers in:
• Ashburn, Sterling, Manassas, or Chantilly, VA

Pay & Benefits

• $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
