Job Description:
Seeking a highly experienced Avaya Support Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience in Avaya telephony systems, configuration, troubleshooting, and Tier III production support. The candidate will manage enterprise voice infrastructure, support Avaya deployments, resolve complex technical issues, and coordinate with telecom vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, maintain, and support Avaya communication systems.
- Monitor Avaya environment health, including trunking and adjunct systems.
- Handle programming and troubleshooting tickets, providing Tier III support.
- Coordinate with telecom providers to resolve circuit and connectivity issues.
- Deploy new Avaya products, technologies, and system enhancements.
- Prepare technical documentation and train junior support staff.
Required Skills:
- 15+ years of Avaya systems experience.
- Avaya Communication Manager 7.1.3, Session Manager 7.1.3, and System Manager 7.1.3.
- Avaya Call Management System (CMS R18) and Workforce Optimization 15.2.
- Avaya G650/G450/G430 gateways and Spira SBCs.
- Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, VoIP, and real-time communication protocols.
- Networking knowledge: Routing, Switching, Firewalls, WAN, and QoS.
- Tier III troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and technical documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- BroadSoft Hosted VoIP products.
- Python scripting and automation.
- Experience mentoring and training junior engineers.
