Summary

OneSparQ is looking for an Automation Engineer for a company headquartered in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities:

Develop PLC and automation software for industrial machinery.
Program and configure control systems using platforms such as: Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
Work with mechanical engineering teams to understand machine functionality and translate operational requirements into automation code.
Design, write, and test PLC control logic and automation software.
Perform software simulation and testing prior to system shipment.
Support machine integration and installation at customer sites.
Assist with commissioning and startup of automation systems.
Supervise installation teams and support testing of automation code on the physical machine.
Participate in full system startup and validation.
Travel to customer facilities to support installation and commissioning activities.

Required Skills:

3+ years of experience developing automation or PLC software
Experience programming PLC systems such as Siemens TIA Portal or Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
Strong ability to interpret mechanical system designs and translate them into automation logic
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
