strategic, technical leadership role focused on designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade AI agent systems utilizing Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) technologies, primarily Vertex AI. This role bridges the gap between AI research/data science and operational IT, ensuring that autonomous, multi-agent workflows are secure, scalable, and compliant in high-stakes or regulated environments.
Core Responsibilities
Platform Strategy & Architecture: Define the technical roadmap, architecture, and design patterns for agentic systems using Vertex AI, including Gemini models, Agent Builder, and BigQuery.
Agent Development & Deployment: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of intelligent agents, focusing on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures, tool execution, multi-agent orchestration, and autonomous decision-making.
Governance & Security: Establish guardrails, auditability, and traceability for AI systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., in utility, finance) and managing "human-in-the-loop" fallbacks.
Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage Google Cloud Platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for agent scalability.
Stakeholder Management: Translate business objectives into actionable AI technical requirements, working closely with Cybersecurity, Legal, Risk, and Product teams.
Data Integration: Oversee the integration of agents with enterprise data sources (e.g., CRM, ERP) using APIs and secure connectors.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years in AI/ML, with at least 2/3+ years focused on GenAI, Agentic AI, or multi-agent systems.
Google Cloud Platform Proficiency: Deep expertise in Google Cloud services (Vertex AI, BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Functions).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern software engineering practices (APIs, microservices, CI/CD).
Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects.
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, AI, or a related field
