Summary

Title: Healthcare Data Engineer  

Location:  Eagan, MN 55121 (Hybrid, 2-3 days) - Only local candidates required

Duration: 9 Months contract+

 

Project Overview:

The project focuses on developing an enterpriselevel affordability dashboard designed to deliver actionable insights and support datadriven decisionmaking. The dashboard will incorporate key metrics, leading indicators, and performance measures to assess affordability and track progress toward organizational goals. This foundational capability will help inform future affordability initiatives and guide the identification, prioritization, and management of related projects and emerging trends.

 

The Impact You Will Have

This position is responsible for providing technical and resource support to enable data analytics with structured and unstructured data. Responsibilities include executing user story development, data design and architecture, data integration development, and testing. This role will collaborate and/or partner with business areas, project teams, IT technical teams, as well as outsourced vendors, to ensure high quality delivery of data architecture and data integration applications focusing on business analytical enablement for medium to large project or support efforts.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Involved in the creation and review of complex data solutions including their processes and standards for user story development, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and develop prototypes or final data solutions to enable the measurement or monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for identifying and/or making significant improvement enhancements to existing artifacts to align with enterprise strategy or to improve user experience.
  • Ensure test environment and data readiness is appropriate for support and project deliverables.
  • Execute and maintain manual and/or automated test cases and scripts, as assigned.
  • Analyze test results and documents defects and issues using the Incident Management Process.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Experience developing data integration solutions.
  • Experienced knowledge in data analysis using SQL, user story development, data warehouse design, and modeling (3rd normal form or dimensional modeling), data integration design and development.
  • Demonstrated oral/written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate medium-complexity technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in teams with diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams across the enterprise and stakeholders on project execution and issue resolution.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with willingness to improve business operations and drive efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s degree.
  • Practical and relevant experience with one or more data warehouse and big data technical tools.
  • Experience with storage, ETL/ELT processes, and orchestration with AWS Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project methodology.
  • Knowledge of the health care/health insurance industry.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX environment, including shell scripting and scheduler
