Role Summary
A mid-level .NET developer with mainframe experience is sought to support and enhance enterprise applications within a complex hybrid environment. This role involves maintaining legacy systems, modernizing application architectures, and supporting system integrations, reporting solutions, and production activities. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions, bridging legacy mainframe systems with modern Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and decode legacy Easytrieve applications on IBM mainframe platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application designs.
  • Develop, test, and deploy application enhancements and fix defects.
  • Support batch processing, data transformation, and enterprise integration workflows.
  • Create and maintain reports, data extracts, and distribution processes.
  • Develop ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects.
  • Monitor application performance and resolve production support issues to ensure system stability and data integrity.
  • Participate in application modernization and legacy system migration projects, ensuring smooth integration and transition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–7 years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years supporting IBM mainframe environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications in a hybrid or complex environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as JCL, CICS, ROSCOE, or TSO.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft .NET Framework / .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
