REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience supporting cloud-based systems and DevOps environments
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
  • One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support cloud engineering, automation, and integration activities for a federal program. This role is responsible for developing DevOps strategies and integration methodologies that support the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solutions. The position focuses on enabling rapid delivery cycles, improving system performance, and ensuring reliability across distributed cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop DevOps strategies and integration methodologies for cloud-based solutions
  • Support technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and engineering trade studies
  • Support requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
  • Utilize operational trends and system metrics to improve DevOps tools, frameworks, and processes
  • Enable rapid development and release cycles for updates, patches, and bug fixes
  • Integrate developer and user feedback into continuous delivery pipelines
  • Analyze and resolve system functionality, performance, and configuration issues
  • Develop technical solutions to complex DevOps and cloud engineering challenges

Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience supporting cloud-based systems and DevOps environments
  • Strong understanding of system integration, automation, and cloud infrastructure

Certifications
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
  • One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal or defense programs
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation tools
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed system
  • Experience analyzing operational metrics to improve system performance
  • Ability to operate as a technical leader within complex engineering environments
