Work Location This is a hybrid position in Ashburn, VA. At least 1-day per week on site is required.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
5+ years of relevant work experience
Strong experience supporting Java applications and associated frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
Experience developing against relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Experience writing automated unit tests in a tool like JUnit
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
Experience with API development, documentation, and testing
Understanding of software testing practices (unit testing, integration testing)
Experience with message queues and event-driven architecture
Experience working in an automated development environment, using CI/CD tools such as Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube
Actively participate in formal and informal design reviews, solution sessions, and project milestone meetings
Experience working in an Agile team development environment using Jira or a similar tool
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Demonstrates a passion for solving complex software challenges

Preferred

Experience developing in and deploying to a Cloud environment (such as Amazon Web Services)
Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Development experience using JavaScript and/or JavaScript frameworks like Angular
Experience with Hibernate or My Batis
Experience with JMS (e.g., IBM MQ, ActiveMQ)
Experience with Linux
