RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to drive application development and integration efforts supporting a large-scale contact center environment.
Summary:
This role will play a critical part in modernizing technology, including an upcoming migration from on-premise contact center platforms to a cloud-based solution (AWS or Google Cloud Platform). This is a highly visible role requiring both hands-on engineering expertise and strategic technical leadership to partner closely with business and product stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead design, development, and integration of Java-based applications and APIs
* Drive architecture and technical strategy aligned to business and product roadmaps
* Support and enhance integrations with contact center technologies (Genesys)
* Play a key role in cloud migration initiatives from on-prem to AWS or Google Cloud Platform
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, business, and infrastructure teams
* Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of applications in a high-volume environment
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience in application development
* Strong expertise in Java development and API engineering
* Experience working with contact center platforms (Genesys preferred)
* Proven ability in solution architecture and technical strategy
* Experience integrating enterprise systems in complex environments
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting contact center cloud migrations
* Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
* Background in large enterprise or highly regulated environments
* Prior experience in a lead or principal-level engineering role
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
