Confluent Kafka Engineer (Telecom Industry)

Role: Confluent Kafka Engineer (Telecom Industry)
Location: Dallas, TX (On-Site)

Rate: $45/hr on W2 ($50/hr on C2C)

Key Skills Required

·         Strong experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform

·         Hands-on experience with:

o    Kafka Producers

o    Kafka Consumers

o    Kafka Connect

o    Schema Registry

·         Experience with Kafka Streams and/or ksqlDB

·         Proficiency in Java (preferred), Python, or Scala

·         Experience with Confluent Cloud or Kafka on Kubernetes/OpenShift

·         Knowledge of cloud platforms:

o    AWS

o    Azure

o    Google Cloud Platform

·         Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and monitoring skills

·         Experience with:

o    SSL/TLS encryption

o    SASL authentication

·         Knowledge of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and secure data streaming practices

·         Experience working with telecom clients

·         Exposure to:

o    OSS/BSS systems

o    Billing platforms

o    CDRs (Call Detail Records)

o    Network events (4G/5G)

·         Understanding of real-time streaming architectures for telecom data pipelines

Responsibilities

·         Build and manage real-time streaming pipelines using Kafka

·         Integrate Kafka with telecom systems such as OSS/BSS, CRM, and billing platforms

·         Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka environments

·         Ensure high availability, scalability, and low latency for critical telecom data streams

Good to Have

·         Experience with Apache Flink and/or Spark Streaming

·         Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and Microservices

·         Confluent and/or Kafka certifications
