Position Overview
Client's Transportation Programs Support team is seeking a Software Developer II with strong mainframe experience to support and maintain the AASHTOWare Project Vendor Management (APVM) system. This role focuses on ensuring accurate vendor data, supporting vendor lifecycle activities, and maintaining the integrity of construction vendor information used across Client's letting and construction operations.
The developer will work closely with Construction Division stakeholders to interpret vendor requirements, troubleshoot vendor-related issues, and support cross-system coordination where APVM data is consumed by downstream systems. The role also includes mainframe programming, integration, documentation, and subject-matter expertise for CMCS.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional and operational support for AASHTOWare (American Association of State Highway and Transportation) Project Vendor Management (APVM).
Maintain accurate construction vendor and vendor-relationship data supporting letting and construction activities.
Support vendor lifecycle processes including qualifications, insurance, sanctions, subcontractor relationships, and complex vendor updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve vendor-related issues impacting construction operations.
Coordinate with downstream systems that consume APVM vendor data to ensure data integrity and reduce manual workarounds.
Develop and maintain mainframe run book documentation for CMCS.
Perform mainframe programming, integration, and support activities for CMCS.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for CMCS mainframe processes.
Support system enhancements, operational changes, and data quality improvements.
Collaborate with Construction Division stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
