Job Description:
Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design and build scalable enterprise applications within a high-performance financial environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Apache Kafka, and React.js, along with hands-on experience in distributed systems, security implementations, and resilient application design. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable Java Full Stack applications using modern development frameworks.
- Build enterprise-grade Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Develop React.js frontend components and integrate them with backend services.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Develop secure REST APIs leveraging JWT, OAuth2, Spring Security, and RBAC.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Implement resiliency patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Retry, Timeout, and Fallback using Resilience4j/Hystrix.
- Design and maintain scalable distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Work extensively with Java Collections, Java 8 features, Multithreading, and Concurrency utilities.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Contribute to code reviews, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, OOP concepts, Java Collections Framework, and Java 8 features.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Dependency Injection, and Microservices.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Strong frontend development experience with React.js.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Distributed Systems, and SQL.
- Expertise in Multithreading, Concurrency, Synchronization, Atomic Variables, and Locks.
- Experience implementing security standards using JWT, OAuth2, and Spring Security.
- Familiarity with resiliency and distributed transaction patterns.
- Financial services domain experience is highly preferred.
