Role:DLP Specialist

Location : Montreal, QC, Canada (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote)

JobOverview:

We are seeking aDLPPlatform MigrationSpecialisttosupport the transition of our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to a new technology.This role will focus on ensuring that allDLPpolicies, configurations, and enforcement measures are accurately migrated, optimized, and maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong experience inDLPpolicy management, a deep understanding of data security protocols, and a proven track record of handling complexDLPplatform migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• DLPPolicy Migration:

• Support the migration ofDLPpolicies from the existing platform to the new platform.

• Ensure that allDLPpolicies, including data identification, classification, and monitoring, are accurately mapped and transferred to the new platform.

• Review and validate currentDLPpolicies and recommend necessary improvements to optimize detection and protection.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data protection requirements and adaptDLPpolicies to meet those needs.

• DLPPolicy Optimization:

• Evaluate and refine existingDLPpolicies to ensure they are properly configured for the new platform and aligned with organizational goals.

• Develop and test newDLPpolicy templates for enhanced security and

• Fine-tune and optimize existing policies to minimize false positives and maximize the accuracy ofDLPalerts.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate withDLPengineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration ofDLPpolicies into the new platform.

• Provide guidance and support to teams onDLPpolicy enforcement, data classification, and monitoring post-migration.

• Work with appropriate incident response teams to monitor the effectiveness ofDLPpolicies after migration.

• Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure that allDLPpolicies comply with relevant data protection laws, industry regulations, and organizational standards.

• Create detailed reports on theDLPmigration process, policy configurations, testing results, and any changes made during the migration.

• Training and Documentation:

• Develop comprehensive documentation for allDLPpolicies, including configurations, rules, and migration steps.

• Conduct training sessions for security teams and stakeholders on managing and fine-tuningDLPpolicies in the new platform.

• Testing and Validation:
  Perform thorough testing and validation of allDLPpolicies post-migration to ensure proper enforcement, accuracy, and detection.
  Address any issues or challenges related toDLPpolicy execution or migration gaps.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience inDLPpolicy management and implementation.

• Proven experience withDLPplatform migration or similar large-scale IT security migrations.

• Familiarity with managingDLPplatforms (e.g., Symantec, McAfee, Digital Guardian, Forcepoint, etc.) and cloud-basedDLPsolutions.

• Strong understanding of data security and data protection best practices.

Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize LP policies to minimize disruptions

o Hands-on experience withDLPpolicy creation, modification, and migrationwhile ensuring maximum data protection.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, detect security risks, and optimize security policies.

• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools forDLPpolicy management (e.g.,PowerShell, Python).

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-basedDLPsolutions and integrations (e.g., Microsoft 365,
  AWS, Google Workspace).

• Knowledge of advanced data loss prevention techniques like content inspection, behavioral analysis, and machine learning-based detection.
