Role Overview

Senior Oracle / Python Database Developer to support the Treasury team by building and maintaining database-driven applications that power invoicing, financial, and payment systems. This role is database-first, with a strong emphasis on developing business logic directly within Oracle database (PL/SQL). Python and microservices are used as a secondary layer to expose, integrate, and orchestrate that logic across enterprise systems.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working close to the data, understands financial workflows, and can partner directly with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database-centric applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Implement complex business logic, validations, and workflows directly in the Oracle database
• Build and support Python-based services and microservices that interface with Oracle systems
• Develop APIs to support real-time, user-facing applications and downstream integrations
• Partner closely with Treasury, Finance, and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of database-driven applications
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and balance enhancement work with ongoing support
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release processes

Required Qualifications

• Strong Oracle database development skills, including complex SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience building application logic directly in the database
• Hands-on Python experience, including building APIs or microservices
• Understanding of financial systems, invoicing, payments, or treasury-related workflows
• Experience supporting production systems in an enterprise environment
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Ability and willingness to work from the Houston office at least three days per week

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Exposure to enterprise financial platforms or ERP systems
• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
