Data Center Manager

Description
Candidate is responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of the enterprise infrastructure across more than 150 locations. This role leads the operational oversight of the data center, core network services, and major infrastructure initiatives, working closely with both internal IT leadership and an external managed service provider.

While specific vendor platforms (Cisco, VMware/Broadcom, etc.) are helpful, success in this role is driven more by conceptual mastery, adaptability, and the ability to navigate a fast-moving but process-heavy environment.
A major component of this role is partnership and oversight-ensuring the managed services partner meets expectations, adheres to SLAs, and operates as an integrated part of the team. The position requires excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to maintain strong relationships across technical teams, leadership, and external vendors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
**Must live in Marion County after converting full-time. They have a rule that full-time employees must live or move within Marion County limits by 6 months of full-time employment. So they will technically have a year from their start date to move within the county**
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent work experience
- 10-15 years of progressive IT experience
- 10+ years in systems support / integration / design
- Brownie points if they have any background in the public sector

Microsoft (MCSA, etc.)
Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
VMware Certified Professional
Azure Administrator or AWS Administrator

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
