Medical Systems, Analytics & Reporting Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Systems, Analytics & Reporting Specialist to support the Medical Education & Communications team. This role will focus on optimizing business systems, improving data workflows, delivering actionable analytics, and enabling reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between technical systems management and business operations leading system enhancements, improving operational efficiency through automation, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Management & Optimization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned business stakeholders regarding system-related needs and enhancements.
- Gather business requirements and partner with cross-functional teams to implement solutions for new and existing platforms.
- Lead system upgrades, transitions, and platform enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain data continuity during system migrations and support user adoption efforts.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide system training, access support, and best-practice guidance to end users.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze business trends, operational performance, and key metrics to support decision-making within Medical Education & Communications.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for leadership teams.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to improve reporting capabilities.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and proactively flag potential risks or operational gaps.
- Manage ad hoc reporting requests and establish automated reporting processes where appropriate.
Process Improvement & Data Compliance
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal policies.
- Create and maintain documentation related to system workflows, reporting processes, and data governance standards.
- Improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and user experience.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure teams are maximizing platform capabilities and maintaining high-quality data standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, business analytics, reporting, or related operational roles
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in complex business environments
- Background within pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical affairs, or regulated industries preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Salesforce administration and reporting tools
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Qlik, or similar BI platforms
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools
- Experience with process automation and workflow optimization initiatives
Project & Analytical Skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights
- Experience developing reporting frameworks, dashboards, and performance metrics
