Sr AWS Solutions Architect with AWS Workplace

Job Summary:
The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for government clients. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and security protocols, along with the ability to work with classified information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cloud architectures that meet client requirements, including scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement AWS best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams and clients.
- Conduct assessments and audits to ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends.
- Responsible for designing, deploying, and managing AWS Workspaces solutions to deliver secure and scalable virtual desktops. MUST
- Works closely with security, networking, and application teams to ensure performance, cost optimization, and compliance with enterprise standards.MUST
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an AWS Solutions Architect or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.MUST TO HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working with federal government clients.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

- Enterprise AWS architecture across microservices, distributed systems, and serverless.
- Advanced DevOps and SRE capabilities.
- Expertise in Terraform/CloudFormation automation.
- Kubernetes/EKS architecture, networking, and governance.
- Cloud security frameworks, IAM governance, and threat modeling.
- Cloud economics and FinOps optimization.

5. Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of IT experience, 6+ years in AWS architecture, 5+ years in DevOps.
- Expertise in AWS compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes/EKS.
- Strong scripting: Python, Shell, PowerShell.
- Experience presenting to architecture boards or leadership teams.
