What you'll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level server-side applications to support mission critical business platforms including business process automation and intelligent document management. Develop and maintain web applications, and build responsive and dynamic Uls. Collaborate with global business, QA, and technology teams to analyze requirements and deliver robust technical solutions. Participate in Agile software development cycles, including technical design/architecture forums. Apply best practices in code quality, design patterns, and DevOps for scalable and high-availability systems. Support production applications and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and stability. Contribute to cloud adoption initiatives and automation efforts within the document platform ecosystem. Interface with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and enhancements aligned with organizational goals. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study

-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Java Developer, or a closely related occupation

-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
  • Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC;
  • Businesses Process Model and Notation (BPMN);
  • Workflow Orchestration and State Management;
  • Event Driven Architecture;
  • Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3;
  • REST API Development and Integration;
  • Linux and Unix;
  • Digital Transformation and Modernization;
  • Docu Sign;
  • Batch Processing;
  • Kafka, Splunk, and Kibana;
  • Production Issue Investigation;
  • Log Correlation;
  • CI/CD Pipelines;
  • Jenkins and Git;
  • Blue green deployment;
  • Application Logging and Monitoring;
  • Unit Testing including Junit;
  • Integration Testing;
  • Production Validation;
  • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes; and
  • Release Management.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
