Summary

Please note that this is a 4-months contract position, onsite in Folsom, CA.

Also, please note: no H-1B or Corp-to-Corp.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master s Degree or equivalent.

  • Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required.

  • At least 4+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.

  • Job Specific Systems: SAP ERP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office.

  • Proven experience as a Buyer / Tactical Buyer, ideally in a manufacturing or raw materials environment.

  • Strong, daily-use proficiency in SAP for purchasing and material management.

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor coordination, and purchase order cycle.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the procurement and inventory management of manufacturing materials, components, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.

  • Coordinates material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D and Marketing.

  • Establishes and manages supplier relationships including negotiating contracts and prices, monitoring supplier performance and researching/selecting/analyzing the market supply base.

  • May manage contract manufacturer (CM) or original design manufacturer (ODM) relationships to ensure best total cost of ownership, availability and inventory optimization.

  • May be responsible for contributing to improvement efforts such as resourcing, supply chain improvements, risk mitigation/avoidance, cost reduction, assurance of supply, and/or quality.

  • May consider specific regulatory or compliance regulations pertaining to specific categories or products.
