Job Summary
The Infrastructure Delivery Program Director leads enterprise innovation initiatives by bridging strategic technology vision with operational execution. This role drives process and technology adoption (including AI/ML), facilitates executive discovery sessions, and translates organizational priorities into prioritized technology roadmaps that advance patient care, operational efficiency, and value-based care objectives.
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President (AVP), and with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, this position is responsible for organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities of Divisional Directors. The Director may serve as the Deputy to the AVP and assumes full responsibility and authority in their absence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
•Bridge Strategic Gaps: Connect core infrastructure with clinical devices and applications to mitigate site-level leadership churn.
•Drive Tech Adoption: Lead enterprise innovation by driving adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML.
•Establish Governance: Manage governance frameworks that tie infrastructure performance and system integrations directly to measurable, long-term improvements in patient care, throughput, and operational efficiency.
•Executive Collaboration: Facilitate executive discovery sessions and collaborate with all levels of leadership to translate organizational priorities into actionable technology roadmaps.
HIMSS & INFRAM Management
•HIMSS Expert: Serve as the internal HIMSS expert to conduct a full, enterprise-wide INFRAM (Infrastructure Adoption Model) assessment.
•INFRAM Assessment: Oversee data gathering, personnel interviews, system access, data analysis, and the establishment of INFRAM models to present technological assessments to all levels of leadership.
•5-Year Roadmap: Direct, manage, and collaborate with leadership to create a 5-year technological program based on INFRAM recommendations, adapting to rapid advancements and changes in technology.
Operations & Divisional Management
•Divisional Oversight: Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the operations of divisional departments and departmental directors to ensure the promotion of Divisional and Corporate policies.
•Budget & Projects: Attend staff meetings, review budget submissions, and provide strategic recommendations and direction regarding proposed projects.
•Inter-Departmental Liaison: Act as a liaison with other corporate departments to assist in providing seamless technical services.
•Executive Deputization: Represent the AVP in matters involving City, Regional, State, and/or Federal agencies. Act in lieu of the AVP in their absence across designated operational areas.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Educational & Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
•Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university (in Hospital Administration, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an approved related program) AND seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience.
•Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university AND eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience.
•A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Core Competencies
Focus Areas for Experience: Progressively responsible experience must be in health and medical service administration, public administration, personnel and labor relations, finance, or an appropriate functional discipline. Strong emphasis must be placed on planning, liaison/inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative and managerial functions.
