Job Title: Test Lead - Oracle CCB (Utilities Domain)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with strong Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB) expertise to lead end-to-end testing activities for utility domain applications.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in test strategy, planning, execution, and defect management, along with strong stakeholder and team management skills. Exposure to test automation tools (Tosca preferred) and experience in Utilities domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for CCB applications

• Ensure coverage across:

  • Functional testing

  • Integration testing

  • Regression testing

  • Performance testing

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Plan test schedules, resource allocation, and testing timelines

Test Execution & Validation

• Oversee execution of test cycles ensuring quality and timely delivery

• Validate:

  • APIs and services

  • Data flows and mapping layers

  • Cross-browser and cross-platform functionality

• Ensure consistency and performance across environments

Oracle CCB Testing (Mandatory)

• Perform testing on Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB) applications

• Work on CCB EDI integrations and validation

• Ensure alignment with utility business processes and billing systems

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM

• Perform defect triage and root cause analysis (RCA)

• Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and compliance requirements

• Monitor and report quality metrics and KPIs

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Lead and mentor QA team members, ensuring effective delivery

• Coordinate with:

  • Developers

  • Business Analysts

  • Product teams

  • Third-party vendors

• Facilitate stakeholder communication and ensure testing sign-offs

Reporting & Governance

• Provide regular updates on:

  • Test progress

  • Risks and issues

  • Defect status

• Ensure compliance with testing SLAs, KPIs, and governance standards

Domain Requirement (Mandatory)

• Strong experience in Utilities domain

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CCB)

• Knowledge of billing systems, customer operations, and EDI integrations

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA

• Strong expertise in:

  • Test planning and execution

  • Defect management

  • Test strategy development

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Oracle CCB testing (mandatory)

  • Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT testing

  • API testing and data validation

• Experience with tools:

  • JIRA / HP ALM

• Strong understanding of:

  • QA methodologies

  • SDLC / STLC processes

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation tools (Tosca preferred, Selenium optional)

• Exposure to:

  • ArcGIS / Geospatial / Spatial data testing

• Experience in large-scale utility projects
