JOB SUMMARY Client is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure platforms in a client-facing environment. This role requires strong expertise in Windows Server technologies, Microsoft Azure, and automation-driven build processes. The engineer will work closely with a distributed team, engage with client stakeholders daily, and serve as an on-call escalation engineer to ensure rapid resolution of critical issues and high service availability. Key Responsibilities Design, build, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments. Automate server build, configuration, and deployment processes using PowerShell. Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise. Act as an on-call escalation engineer on a rotational basis. Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning for Windows, Azure, and identity-related issues. Engage in daily client interactions, providing technical updates and supporting service reviews. Collaborate with a team of engineers across infrastructure, cloud, security, and application domains. Support change management activities, releases, and production deployments. Create and maintain technical documentation, build standards, automation artifacts, and operational runbooks. Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and service improvement. Required Qualifications Strong experience with Windows Server technologies (build, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, lifecycle management). Advanced scripting and automation expertise using PowerShell. Solid experience supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services. Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and automation. Working knowledge of Terraform Enterprise for Infrastructure-as-Code deployments. Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call / escalation support rotations. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications Java or Groovy experience, particularly for Jenkins pipeline scripting and automation enhancements. Hands-on experience with Group Policy (GPO) management in enterprise environments. Knowledge of security best practices, server hardening, and compliance standards. Experience working in hybrid cloud or large-scale enterprise environments. Education: Bachelors Degree
