We are seeking an experienced Gravitee & API Platform Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in API management, Apache Kafka pipeline migration, and enterprise CI/CD engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing automation solutions for API management platforms, developing repeatable API onboarding and deployment processes, managing Kafka pipeline migrations, and enhancing enterprise CI/CD workflows.

This role will work closely with application, platform, and DevOps engineering teams to improve automation, streamline platform integrations, and support scalable API and event-driven architectures, including AI/LLM-enabled workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Gravitee & API Platform Automation
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for Gravitee API Management and API Gateway processes.
- Build automation capabilities to support LLM and AI-enabled workloads.
- Develop reusable and repeatable API onboarding, configuration, and deployment patterns.
- Integrate Gravitee configurations and deployment workflows into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate API lifecycle management processes, including onboarding, configuration, deployment, and standardization.
- Improve platform consistency, operational efficiency, and deployment reliability through automation.

Apache Kafka Pipeline Migration
- Plan and execute the migration of Kafka pipelines, topics, configurations, and associated integrations across environments.
- Develop and automate repeatable Kafka migration, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Coordinate with application development, platform engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful migration activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve migration-related issues while minimizing disruption to existing applications and services.
- Validate Kafka configurations, pipeline functionality, and integration reliability across environments.
- Ensure consistency, scalability, and operational stability across Kafka environments.

CI/CD & DevOps Engineering
- Maintain, enhance, and continuously improve enterprise CI/CD pipelines, tools, templates, and engineering standards.
- Automate build, testing, security validation, deployment, and release management processes.
- Integrate API management and Kafka deployment workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, and platform integration challenges.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and promote standardized DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment efficiency, release quality, and platform reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Gravitee API Management and API Gateway.
- Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, API integration, and API automation.
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka, including topics, pipelines, configurations, and migration activities.
- Strong experience developing, maintaining, and automating enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, deployment automation, and release management.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications, APIs, and platform services.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex API, Kafka, deployment, and pipeline-related issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building automation capabilities for AI/ML or LLM-enabled workloads.
- Exposure to API gateway automation, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale API and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and deployment practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Gravitee API Management: Hands-on API gateway configuration, automation, onboarding, and lifecycle management.
- Kafka Engineering: Practical experience with Kafka pipelines, topic configurations, migration, and cross-environment deployments.
- CI/CD Automation: Strong experience automating enterprise build, deployment, testing, security, and release workflows.

Candidates with experience across all three areas will be strongly preferred

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
