DevOps Engineer - TS

Xcelerate Solutions is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role supporting our federal client as our team designs, architects and implements a secure application development environment (ADV) specifically engineered to accelerate the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation. This environment will integrate automated security controls directly into the client's Continuous Delivery Pipeline and prioritize developer productivity and autonomy as well as enable Zero Trust architecture that scales across distributed teams without compromising the Lean-Agile mindset. Locations:

Winchester, VA (full time on client site)

Responsibilities
  • Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, Rack Space / Open Stack).
  • Configures manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website.
  • Debug cluster-based computing.
  • Works with application development teams to refactor or create solutions that leverage the DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and tools.
  • Instructs/guides teams through their solution development.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree applicable field of study
  • Experience operating in a SAFe environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipeline operations and tools.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Strong collaboration with developers, testers, and product owners
  • Ability to translate operational risks into actionable engineering work
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery teams
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to lead incident response and root-cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP)
  • Experience supporting federal systems, ATO processes, or compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or Zero Trust principles
