OT Systems Integrator

Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)

Pay Range: $70-$75

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an OT Systems Integrator to support a current-state physical and operational technology (OT) infrastructure assessment at its Louisville, KY distribution center.

This role focuses on OT system discovery, physical connectivity mapping, and device-level documentation, working closely with the Technical Project Manager to ensure IT and OT environments are accurately represented and validated.

Key Responsibilities

OT & Physical Infrastructure Assessment

• Participate in on-site facility walkthroughs alongside the Technical PM and site leadership.
• Identify and document OT-connected devices, including:
  • Industrial control systems
  • Warehouse automation equipment
  • OT-connected sensors, controllers, and edge devices
• Trace and validate physical cabling paths supporting OT systems.
• Document:
  • Device asset tags, serial numbers, and IP addresses
  • Physical device locations (floor, mezzanine, cabinets, racks)
  • Patch panel and port assignments supporting OT connectivity

Cable Tracing, Labeling & Mapping

• Lead Phase 2: Physical Audit & Data Collection for OT-related assets:
  • Trace cabling paths between OT devices, IDFs, and MDFs
  • Validate patch panel assignments and physical port mappings
  • Apply or validate labeling for cables, cabinets, racks, and wall mounts (within scope)
• Update or create device-level and connectivity diagrams reflecting current-state OT architecture.

Validation & Quality Assurance

• Support Phase 3: Validation & QA, ensuring:
  • Cable paths and labeling are accurate
  • Diagrams align with physical findings
  • OT connectivity dependencies are clearly documented
• Collaborate with the Technical PM to identify:
  • Single points of failure
  • OT/IT interdependencies and risks

Reporting Support

• Provide OT-specific inputs for Phase 4: Reporting & Handover, including:
  • OT inventory lists
  • Connectivity diagrams
  • Identified risks and gaps
  • Recommendations for improving documentation and resiliency

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an OT Systems Integrator, Controls Engineer, or OT Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong experience with:
  • Physical OT connectivity and cabling
  • Device-level mapping and documentation
  • Industrial or warehouse environments
• Ability to trace and document complex cabling paths across large facilities
• Comfortable working hands-on in active operational environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in distribution centers, logistics, or manufacturing facilities
• Familiarity with IT/OT integration concepts
• Experience supporting infrastructure assessments or brownfield environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal existing documentation
