Role: Lead Data Warehouse Developer

The Lead Data Warehouse Developer will work with OSC staff to (a) maintain existing processes and systems as well as assist with implementing new data sources as requested by OSC, and (b) transform, combine, and load data into OSC infrastructure.
The Lead Data Warehouse Developer will support the Initiative. Duties include:
- acquiring data from various sources including cloud services and utilizing Secure FTP and other transfer protocols;
- maintaining and developing PL/SQL for several data analytics initiatives currently in production;
- serving as a database architect to review current data analytics infrastructure and making recommendations on how to structure going forward;
- providing technical support for interfacing between the backend data and the front end tools such as Tableau;
- leveraging existing in-house technology to support ETL such as Attunity Compose;
- reviewing current architecture and systems with the goal of integrating the data analytics environment with enterprise standards and best practices;
- parsing XML files into meaningful datasets that can be consumed by OSC analysts;
- creating documentation for current environment and any changes going forward;
- offering guidance when reviewing user stories as to the best mechanism/platform to use that will meet user needs; and
- creating or assisting with the creation of dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or similar data visualization products.
at least five years experience troubleshooting complex technical problems involving networking, database, application, and associated servers;
at least three years experience modeling data for reporting and analytics;
at least five years experience in tuning SQL for performance;
at least three years experience providing technical guidance to a team of software developers to implement solutions to multiple concurrent complex technical problems;
at least three years experience providing technical guidance to a team of software developers regarding all aspects of performance tuning an enterprise data warehouse reporting and analytics system; and
at least five years experience performing Oracle database development using SQL and PL/SQL.
