Role Summary
The QA Lead Engineer is responsible for driving quality engineering strategy and execution across a complex digital platform spanning web, mobile, APIs, and integrated systems. This role ensures releases meet functional, technical, performance, and customer experience expectations while strengthening overall quality practices.
You will lead test strategy, expand automation coverage, and partner with engineering, product, and vendor teams to ensure reliable delivery. This role requires hands on leadership, strong automation expertise, and the ability to drive quality accountability across both internal teams and offshore partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead quality engineering strategy across web, mobile, API, and end to end platform testing
• Establish test approaches for functional, integration, regression, performance, accessibility, and release validation
• Build and expand automated testing across web, mobile, and API layers to improve coverage and efficiency
• Develop QA standards including test planning, defect management, release readiness, and quality metrics
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable and aligned to business outcomes
• Lead offshore QA teams and vendor partners to ensure consistent delivery, test rigor, and accountability
• Review test artifacts including test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports to ensure quality and completeness
• Identify risks early, perform root cause analysis, and communicate quality status with clear recommendations
Key Requirements
• 7 plus years of experience in QA, test automation, or quality engineering
• 3 plus years of experience leading QA strategy, planning, or automation efforts
• Strong hands on experience with test automation across web, mobile, and API environments
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Postman, REST Assured, or similar
• Strong understanding of API, integration, regression, and end to end testing methodologies
• Experience working within Agile environments including sprint planning and release cycles
• Familiarity with CI CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into release processes
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to influence cross functional and distributed teams
