CDL A Flatbed Driver | Regional & OTR Runs | $.70 CPM

Road Warrior is hiring experienced CDL A Flatbed Drivers for an OTR opportunity offering competitive mileage pay, performance bonuses, newer equipment, and the potential to earn $2,500-$3,500 per week.

Drivers are paid $0.70 CPM and are eligible for a $200 clean inspection bonus as well as a $100-$200 weekly performance bonus.

This position utilizes 2021 Freightliner Cascadia trucks with automatic transmissions and Conestoga flatbed trailers. Because all flatbed trailers are equipped with Conestoga systems, drivers will only be required to chain and strap loads-no tarping is required.

Drivers can be hired from anywhere in the Lower 48 states, with freight generally available to help get drivers back home. Drivers must have a suitable location to park the truck when home.

Routes generally avoid:
Montana and the Dakotas
States west of Denver, CO
Northeastern states
Exceptions may be made when freight pays particularly well or when a driver\'s home location requires travel into these areas
Drivers hired from Florida should expect to remain out for approximately 2-3 weeks
Home time varies based on location, freight, and operational needs

Drivers are responsible for properly chaining and strapping loads
Duties

Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
Transport flatbed freight according to assigned routes and schedules
Properly secure loads using chains and straps
Operate Conestoga flatbed equipment
Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain compliance with applicable DOT regulations and safety requirements
Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
Maintain assigned equipment in safe operating condition
Report equipment issues, cargo concerns, or safety hazards promptly
Maintain reliable and on-time service
Follow all company policies and procedures
Perform other driving and freight-related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 1 year of CDL A driving experience
Minimum 4 months of verifiable flatbed experience
Must be 23-55 years of age
Acceptable driving record meeting applicable safety and insurance requirements
Acceptable PSP report
Must meet Road Warrior\'s baseline safety criteria for accidents, moving violations, and DUI/DWI/OWI history
No SAP drivers
Must successfully complete required background screening
Must be able to safely secure flatbed freight using chains and straps
Must have a suitable location to park the assigned truck when home
Background & Safety Requirements

Due to certain routes servicing U.S. military bases, candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and meet applicable security requirements.

Candidates must also meet established safety standards regarding:

Moving violations
Preventable and non-preventable accidents
DUI/DWI/OWI history
Overall driving record
PSP report
DOT compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Additional flatbed experience beyond the minimum requirement
Experience hauling military or government freight
Experience with Conestoga trailers
Experience securing flatbed loads
TWIC Card
Additional CDL endorsements

TWIC and additional endorsements are not required, but may provide access to additional freight opportunities and increased earning potential. Endorsements such as Hazmat and Tanker may qualify drivers for certain higher-paying loads
