Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Google Cloud Platform Application Developer to support data-driven communication and member engagement initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role will leverage Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, and SQL to analyze large datasets, perform data extraction and validation, and support strategic business and marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL development skills, experience working with large-scale relational databases, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. This position requires exceptional problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and optimize SQL queries within Google BigQuery to analyze and synthesize large volumes of relational data.
- Support healthcare member communication initiatives through accurate data extraction, segmentation, and targeting.
- Perform quality assurance and validation of data pulls, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand campaign requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Analyze complex datasets to support formulary, pharmacy benefit, and member engagement programs.
- Troubleshoot data issues and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and business objectives.
- Document query logic, data processes, and validation procedures according to organizational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with relational databases and structured programming.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data validations.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), particularly BigQuery.
- Knowledge of enterprise database platforms such as:
- Oracle
- SQL Server
- Teradata
- Other large-scale relational database systems
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a data-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Healthcare, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Health Insurance, or Managed Care industries.
- Experience supporting campaign targeting, member communications, or direct marketing initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare data, membership data, and benefit plan structures.
- Experience performing data quality assurance, reconciliation, and validation testing.
- Familiarity with campaign analytics, customer segmentation, and audience targeting strategies.
