Job Description:
The SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) Director is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the strategic direction, governance, and delivery of SAP EAM solutions across the organization. This role oversees large-scale SAP EAM programs, ensures alignment with business goals, and leads a high-performing team of SAP EAM consultants, architects, and functional/technical specialists. The Director will drive innovation, standardization, and operational excellence within the enterprise asset management landscape using SAP S/4HANA, SAP PM, SAP Intelligent Asset Management, and related solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
· Develop and execute the SAP EAM strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
· Lead SAP EAM roadmap planning, including upgrades, enhancements, and transition to SAP S/4HANA.
· Establish governance, best practices, and standards for SAP EAM processes and solutions.
Program & Project Management
· Oversee end-to-end delivery of SAP EAM projects and programs, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution.
· Manage full project lifecycle including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
· Direct multi-million-dollar EAM transformation initiatives with global teams.
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and grow a large cross-functional SAP EAM team, including internal staff and external partners.
· Foster a collaborative, innovative culture focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
· Manage resource planning, performance evaluations, and competency development.
Functional & Technical Expertise
· Provide expert-level guidance on SAP EAM modules including PM, Mobile Asset Management, IAM, and Asset Intelligence Network.
· Define functional designs, integration strategies, and architectural standards across SAP and non-SAP systems.
· Ensure solution scalability, flexibility, and compliance with enterprise architecture.
Stakeholder Management
· Serve as primary liaison with business leaders, IT leadership, and external vendors.
· Translate business needs into SAP EAM capabilities and ensure high adoption of delivered solutions.
• Present program updates, risks, and KPIs to executive leadership.
Operational Excellence
· Ensure stable operations of SAP EAM landscape, including incident resolution, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
• Lead initiatives to optimize asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and reliability processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO, OSHA, and industry-specific mandates.

Experience
· 12–18+ years of experience in SAP, with 10+ years specialized in SAP EAM / PM.
· Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP EAM programs, including global rollouts and S/4HANA migrations.
· 5+ years in leadership roles, managing large teams (30–200+ resources) and multi-vendor environments.
· Strong background in asset-intensive industries (Manufacturing, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation, etc.).
Technical Skills
· Deep expertise in:
o SAP PM / EAM
o SAP S/4HANA Asset Management
o SAP Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) Suite
o SAP Asset Intelligence Network (AIN)
o SAP Mobile Asset Management
o Integration with MM, QM, PP, CS, FI/CO, GIS, and third-party systems
• Strong understanding of maintenance processes including:
o Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
o Asset Lifecycle Management
o Work Management
o Reliability & Integrity Management
Leadership & Soft Skills
· Exceptional leadership capabilities with proven experience scaling and developing large teams.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
