Job Description:
BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, is looking forward to hiring an experienced Alternative Delivery Structural Engineer II! In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and miscellaneous structures, with guidance provided on complex matters
  • Approach tasks with a project mindset, to include coordination with other disciplines throughout the duration of the project; propose innovative solutions to design problems with an understanding of project scope and goals
  • Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians, designers, and engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules; QC final work product
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review; perform independent peer reviews on team work products
  • Review contract plans and calculations from other engineering teams and outside entities to verify completion and compliance with governing structural design codes and contract plans and specifications
  • Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record for mid-size and miscellaneous structural designs
  • Effectively present proposed team design solutions as part of internal project meetings; attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates, providing technical proposal support, and participating in marketing campaigns
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets, expense reports, and labor hours management
  • Take ownership of personal and team member career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop and teach new skills, and setting and pursuing goals
  • Contribute to the development of team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Years of Experience: 6+ years

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
