Web Designer to work

Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding. ECS is looking for a Mid-Sr Graphic Designer to join our Web Content Management team. The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to support public-facing web sites, completing mission critical tasks and supporting the Office of Public Affairs with their initiatives for stand alone html pages.
Responsibilities: - Manage multiple work products across multiple clients simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and a good eye for detail
- Collaborate with leads, project managers, and subject matter experts to translate ideas into compelling visual content.
- Demonstrate creativity and technical skills in all aspects of graphic design including concepts, typography, imagery, color and layouts.
- Design graphics, infographics, templates, and layouts for presentations, reports, and SharePoint websites in accordance with government branding guidelines.
- Follow established visual standards while contributing to the improvement of templates and visual systems.
- Ensure deliverables meet accessibility requirements, including Section 508 compliance.
- Provide proofing and quality control of all materials to ensure they are accurate and delivered on time.
- Prepare final files for digital production with attention to detail and quality.
Expanded Responsibilities for Mid-Level Designers: - Interface directly with clients or stakeholders to gather requirements, present ideas, and incorporate feedback.
- Develop, refine, and design all phases of assigned projects from initial concept through final production including proofing, file preparation and distribution. Projects include, but are not limited to brand design, advertisements, digital brochures and marketing collateral, proposal graphics, executive presentations, logos, e-newsletters, reports, and web design projects
- Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas for websites and other products.
- Be able to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team.
- Proactively identify opportunities for visual improvement across client deliverables.
A Graphic Design Portfolio link/samples of professional or personal work must be submitted as part of application to be considered. Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000

Required Skills - ship is required per contract
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc.) and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and multi-task on multiple projects
- Self-starter, motivated, confident and has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security (Active DHS clearance is a plus - U.S. Citizenship is a requirement per contract terms)
Desired Skills - Active DHS clearance is a plus
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Prior DHS experience and possession of a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)/DHS Suitability
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and implementation.
- Familiarity working within Atlassian products, WordPress, and SharePoint
- Experience developing and designing content for a government organization
- Experience applying research-driven UX and HCD methodologies to inform the design of digital content
- Comfort Basic coding knowledge (HTML, CSS) or UX/UI design tools.
