About the Role
Our client, a leading national retail corporation headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a detail-oriented IT Hardware Fulfillment Technician to support their internal hardware fulfillment and IT operations team. This is an on-site contract opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys working hands-on with technology. The primary work location will be in Minneapolis, MN, with occasional work required at a secondary location in Brooklyn Park, MN. Candidates must be available to work standard Central Time business hours.

Job Description
In this role, you will support our client''s headquarters users by providing non-retail hardware fulfillment, inventory management, and break/fix services across multiple platforms, including Windows and macOS. You will be responsible for fulfilling deployment and recovery requests for hardware used by corporate users, including stocking, picking, tracking, configuring, and shipping equipment. This position also involves detailed inventory management and hands-on break/fix operations, requiring a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn the intricacies of the hardware supported by the team.
Because this role may involve direct interaction with corporate end users, the ability to communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—and build strong business relationships quickly is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill hardware incidents, including picking and shipping of hardware (~60% of time)
  • Perform inventory tracking and reconciliation (~15% of time)
  • Configure hardware and apply firmware updates (~15% of time)
  • Support break/fix operations for corporate hardware (~10% of time)
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal corporate users
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established processes for all fulfillment activities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of hardware and services

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift 25+ lbs and move pallets safely
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a collaborative environment
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Accurate execution of established processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships
  • Experience with or working knowledge of inventory systems
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN, with occasional travel to Brooklyn Park, MN
  • Must be available to work Central Time business hours

  • Certification for MacBook Air
  • Certification for MacBook Pro (13-inch)
  • Certification for MacBook Pro (14-inch, 15-inch, and 16-inch)
  • Dell Client Foundations Certification
