We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the modernization of an Examiner Workflow Tool designed to replace and enhance a legacy system leveraging AWS cloud services. The solution will improve operational efficiency, scalability, and user experience through a modern, web-based, data-driven platform.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in capturing, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements while ensuring alignment between stakeholders, Product Owners, and the development team. The analyst will support Agile delivery processes and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle, including development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement activities.
Position Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, with responsibilities including:
· Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements for a web-based examiner workflow application.
· Capture requirements and translate them into clear, concise, and testable user stories.
· Update and maintain user stories to reflect evolving business needs and technical constraints.
· Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and support Agile ceremonies as needed.
· Work closely with Product Owners to ensure requirements are prioritized and aligned with business objectives.
· Collaborate with development teams to ensure shared understanding of functional and non-functional requirements.
· Support validation and verification of requirements to ensure delivered solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
· Ensure requirements traceability across the product lifecycle.
· Promote Agile values and principles, helping maintain team alignment with Agile methodologies.
· Communicate effectively with project leadership, management, and diverse stakeholder groups.
Position Qualifications
· Significant experience serving as a Business Analyst on IT application development projects.
· Strong experience working on Agile application development initiatives.
· Demonstrated experience creating and managing user stories and facilitating backlog refinement sessions.
· Direct experience eliciting, analyzing, specifying, verifying, and managing requirements for web-based UI and data-driven applications.
· Experience working closely with both business and technical teams to ensure accurate understanding of stakeholder objectives.
· Experience supporting web-based User Interface (UI) application development projects.
· Strong oral and written communication skills (writing samples may be requested).
· Candidates must have spent at least 80% of their recent professional experience performing core business analysis responsibilities.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
