We are seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst to support the Discovery phase of a Finance transformation initiative, focused on documenting the current AS-IS processes, system functionality, and business rules across two existing applications.
Candidate must haves:
Strong Business Analysis experience, with demonstrated ability to lead or support Discovery and AS-IS assessment activities.
Finance process knowledge, with experience analyzing and documenting financial processes, workflows, controls, business rules, and system dependencies.
Strong functional and technical documentation skills, including the ability to document end-to-end processes, system functionality, data flows, interfaces, business rules, exceptions, and pain points.
Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and working sessions with Finance SMEs, business users, and technology teams to extract and validate functional requirements and current-state behavior.
Ability to analyze existing systems and translate technical/system behavior into clear functional documentation that can be understood by both business and technology stakeholders.
Experience performing cross-system analysis, including identifying process handoffs, integrations, dependencies, and functional overlaps between applications.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with limited or incomplete existing documentation, independently investigating and reconstructing current-state functionality.
Fluent English and Spanish mandatory, with the ability to conduct workshops, interviews, and produce clear documentation in a bilingual environment.
Highly Desired: Previous experience with Polypath, including familiarity with Polypath code and/or the ability to review existing code to understand and document current system functionality and business logic.
