Job Title: .NET Enterprise Architect
Location: Remote - Canada is preferred

Time Zone: Central is preferred
Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee)
Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $80-$110/hr CAD

We are seeking a highly experienced .NET Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide architecture, integration strategy, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in .NET technologies, API-led connectivity, along with a strong background in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and IT roadmap
  • Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Architect scalable and secure solutions leveraging .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs)
  • Design and implement API-led connectivity frameworks (System, Process, Experience APIs)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture blueprints and solution designs
  • Establish integration patterns, best practices, and reusable frameworks
  • Provide technical leadership across microservices, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data privacy standards
  • Mentor development teams and conduct architecture reviews and code quality assessments
  • Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation strategies
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools for continuous improvement


Qualifications

Required Skills & Expertise

Core Technologies
  • Strong expertise in .NET Framework / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
  • Extensive experience in C#, RESTful APIs, Web Services
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture

Cloud & DevOps
  • Experience with Azure / AWS / Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS)

Architecture & Design
  • Strong experience in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)
  • Expertise in design patterns, system scalability, and performance tuning
  • Experience in event-driven architecture (Kafka, Service Bus, etc.)

Database & Data
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server / NoSQL databases
  • Understanding of data integration and ETL processes

Nice to Have
  • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, IAM)
  • Exposure to AI/ML integrations or modern data platforms
  • Certifications in MuleSoft, Azure, or AWS
  • MuleSoft & Integration
    • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (CloudHub / Runtime Fabric)
    • Expertise in API-led connectivity architecture
    • Experience with DataWeave, API Gateway, RAML/OAS specifications
    • Strong knowledge of integration patterns and messaging systems

Soft Skills
  • Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to drive architectural decisions across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field


Pay Range

CAD $80.00 - CAD $110.00 /Hr.
