Cybersecurity Engineer

Immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a top-notch company experiencing rapid growth!


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage & Optimize Platforms: Deploy and maintain enterprise security tools including EDR, network security, and identity platforms.
  • Vulnerability & Patch Ownership: Partner with IT to identify, risk-rank, and remediate vulnerabilities; implement compensating controls when patching isn't feasible.
  • Security Standards: Execute system hardening, secure configuration baselines, and access lifecycle management.
  • Endpoint Protection: Support device controls (listing, USB/peripheral) and troubleshoot security issues affecting business operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical partner to Infrastructure and App teams to integrate security into projects and incident response.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify control gaps, recommend tooling upgrades, and reduce technical debt by retiring legacy systems.

This is a 6+ month contract position in Atlanta. Work 100% remote. If based in Atlanta, enjoy a hybrid schedule.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Endpoint Security, or Infrastructure Security.
  • Proven experience administering enterprise security tools (EDR, Vulnerability Management, Identity, or Network Security platforms).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows endpoint security and device control.
  • Deep understanding of vulnerability management life cycles and patching processes.
  • Expertise in secure system configuration and access controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across security and IT domains.
  • Experience collaborating directly with Infrastructure and Application teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.



PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Enterprise endpoint protection/EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SenintelOne)
  • Zero Trust or cloud security concepts
  • Security+, CEH, CISSP
