Role summary:

Walmart is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of software solutions for small to large projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, develop code, perform testing, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications. The position requires technical expertise in coding, debugging, and continuous integration, along with the ability to support business needs. The successful candidate will drive project success through effective communication, problem-solving, and adherence to development standards.
About the team:

Walmart's Global Sourcing Technology team develops and maintains software that supports sourcing quality products at competitive prices, enabling customers to save money. The team focuses on enhancing user experience through advanced technology and innovative solutions. As part of this team, you will participate in software design and implementation, ensure adherence to micro-service architecture, and promote engineering efficiency. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will address complex challenges and contribute to delivering reliable, scalable software solutions that drive business value and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain code adhering to coding standards, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements to enhance stability and scalability.
  • Support business users by addressing technical inquiries and recommending sustainable solutions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments.
  • Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding standards using languages such as React, JavaScript, Java or Python
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex production and business issues effectively.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation scripting.
  • Knowledge of API design, platform development, and component services.
  • Skilled in test case creation, execution, and defect management using relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage small to large complex projects and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Technical acumen in telemetry, debugging, and security policy implementation during development.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
