.NET Developer

Description

Client is seeking a proficient .NET Developer with strong VB.NET and SharePoint experience to support web-based and Windows applications backed by SQL databases.

Due to recent acquisitions, they've inherited resources whose skill sets do not align with their technology stack. They are looking for someone who can step in confidently, contribute quickly, and stay long term.

Core Technical Requirements
Must Have

.NET experience starting with .NET Framework 3.5 and above

Strong VB.NET experience

Worked with VB.NET within the last 5 years

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on VB.NET

Some experience with C#

Experience developing:

Web applications

Windows applications

SQL Server (required)

Ability to write and understand SQL queries

Experience working with SQL-backed applications

Experience creating and consuming Web Services (SOAP / REST)

SharePoint application development

Create, maintain, and support SharePoint applications

SharePoint + jQuery maintenance experience

Supporting and maintaining existing backend SharePoint environments

Nice to Have

Oracle database experience

Transit industry experience

Strong eye for web design / UI
