Job Description:

Pay Range: $72hr - $77hr

We are seeking an experienced onsite Product Owner within the Clinical / Pediatric domain who will act as the primary bridge between client stakeholders and the delivery team.
This role is critical to ensuring alignment between business priorities, clinical workflows, and technical delivery throughout the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong Agile experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex clinical requirements into actionable backlog items.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, including clinical leaders, operational teams, and business owners, and the delivery teams.
Facilitate discovery discussions to understand business objectives, pediatric and clinical workflow nuances, and regulatory considerations.
Capture, clarify, and continuously refine business priorities and represent them accurately in the product backlog.
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparency into scope, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
Own the definition, refinement, and prioritization of epics, features, and user stories.
Break down complex clinical and operational requirements into well-structured, testable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Lead regular backlog grooming sessions to maintain a sprint-ready backlog aligned with team capacity.
Ensure backlog items align with clinical safety, pediatric usability, and downstream operational impact.
Partner closely with Scrum Masters, development teams, UX/design, and QA to plan sprint scope and sequencing.
Prioritize sprint commitments based on business value, clinical risk, and dependencies.
Support sprint execution by clarifying requirements and adjusting priorities as needed.
Review and provide formal sign-off on designs, functional specifications, and delivered features.
Validate solutions against real-world clinical workflows and usability standards.
Lead or support User Acceptance Testing, including acceptance criteria definition, results review, and release approval.
Partner with QA and stakeholders to triage defects and support go/no-go decisions.
Ensure solutions adhere to healthcare industry standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and end users to continuously improve product outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, backlog quality, and stakeholder collaboration.

Required Qualifications And Experience:

Strong hands-on experience owning and managing a product backlog in an Agile or Scrum environment.
Proven experience working directly with clinical, pediatric, or healthcare stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex workflows into epics and user stories.
Experience supporting healthcare IT solutions such as EHRs, clinical applications, or pediatric care systems.
Prior experience participating in or leading User Acceptance Testing with clinical users.
Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Ability to work 100% onsite and engage face-to-face with clients and teams.
